This park has derived its name from the River Manas, is taken from the serpent goddess Manass. Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary:

Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary was established in the year 1997. Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary has been playing a chief role in the research and protection of the primate community of the animal kingdom. This sanctuary is located at an estimated distance of 19 km from the city of Jorhat and it covers a total area of about 20.98 sq km.

Kaziranga National Park:

Kaziranga National Park is located on the banks of the river Brahmaputra, in the northeast state of Assam. It covers a total area of about 430 sq km. It is one of the most famous Assam tourist spots. The history of the park can be sketched back to the period when Mary Victoria Leiter Curzon, the wife of Viceroy of India Lord Curzon, visited the place, in the year 1904. This park is considered to be the one of the most important Assam tourist spots .

Nameri National Park :

Nameri National Park is round 35 km from the city of Tezpur, which is at the foothills of the eastern Himalayas. It is located in one of the most beautiful park of Assam – Nameri National Park. Covering up with a total area of about 200 sq km, it is considered to be one of the richest as well as the most endangered reservoirs of the plant and the animal kingdom.
